Binah.ai’s technology empowers organizations to enable anyone to self-monitor and share a wide range of health and wellness indicators using a smartphone or tablet, whether through spot or continuous checks. The software-based solution measures important health data including blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiration rate, mental stress, hypertension risk, diabetes risk*(*under research), fall detection and many more. Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) risk is a measure used to estimate an individual’s likelihood of developing cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attack and stroke, for the next 10 years. This risk is calculated using factors like age, gender, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, smoking status, diabetes, and other health conditions.
Binah.ai’s new ASCVD risk detection feature uses the well-known Framingham risk score combined with health indicators measured by Binah.ai to assess an individual’s cardiovascular risk for the next 10 years. This capability allows the insurance and wellness providers to save end-users’ the need for trips to the lab, blood pressure cuffs, or visits to the clinic and empowers them to check their health risks right from their smartphones. Binah.ai’s ASCVD risk detection has shown very close correlation with ASCVD risk measured with traditional methods using blood test labs and blood pressure monitoring cuffs.
Binah.ai’s assessment is based on the public domain databases that help identify high-risk individuals who may benefit from preventive measures, including lifestyle modifications and medication. ASCVD risk assessment aids in early detection and personalized management, ultimately reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
ASCVD risk is categorized into low, moderate, or high: Low Risk: Less than 5% chance of cardiovascular events within 10 years. Moderate Risk: 5% to 20% chance within 10 years. High Risk: Greater than 20% chance within 10 years.
High ASCVD risk is often associated with conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, and smoking.
